I always dreamed of becoming a fashion designer—someone who could create clothing that celebrates culture, confidence, and the individuality of every woman. But when I first shared that dream, the path wasn’t easy. My father didn’t allow me to pursue fashion school—partly because it was far from our city, and partly because those around us questioned whether fashion was a “real” career.

I moved to Canada and got an opportunity to work with huge retail player as a Fashion department manager. That journey gave me something no classroom could—it taught me what real women look for in their clothes: beauty, comfort, meaning, and a sense of self.

Ethnic Affair was born from that experience and the dream I never gave up on.
